Introducing Winter Wild Wonders: Craft-&-Play!

Join us for this all-outdoor adventure where winter's magic fuels creativity and play. In this "Craft-&-Play" edition of Wild Wonders after school program, children meet once per month, embracing winter's slower rhythm, deepening focus and encouraging reflection. 

Each monthly session begins with a hands-on, nature-based craft or wilderness skill, with some activities taught by guest instructors with expertise in areas like herbal crafts, shelter-building, storytelling, felting, and fire-building. 

As always, there's plenty of time for the children's own wild imaginations, ideas, and explorations too, bringing the enchantment of the season alive through unstructured play, winter games, and additional STEAM activities.

Details:

• For children in K-5th grade (or ages 5-11 years old)
• Winter session meets 1x per month, November through March
• Created to coincide with Shoreline School District's* early-release Wednesdays, Winter Wild Wonders runs from 2:15-4:00pm
• Optional walking pick-up available at Syre Elementary at 1:55pm

* Our Wild Wonders community includes and welcomes children from all schools and educational pathways.
